MIDTERM is TUESDAY, JANUARY 26 at 7:45 in the North Gym.
Welcome to 2010!
For 1/8: www.castlelearning.com -- rivers. Also, complete the drainage lab (NYS & USA).
For 1/15: TEST DAY! Test will cover everything in Topic 9 -- Weathering & Erosion (Soils, Physical & Chemical weathering, Erosion by Glaciers, Rivers, Coastal processes, Wind, & mass movements). www.castlelearning.com -- glaciers.
EXTRA CREDIT OPPORTUNITY! Virtual River Lab. This is not easy, but you can absolutely do it -- If you read and follow the instructions! Go to the website for Geology Labs online (http://www.sciencecourseware.com/VirtualRiver/). Read the instructions. At the bottom of that page in a yellow box click on the "River Discharge" exercise. This will bring you to page 1 of 25. Read the instructions carefully. It starts out easy and gets progressively more complicated. I would recommend having a calculator handy. Also, don't forget to print out the certificate of completion at the end.
For 1/26: Complete the castlelearning review assignments. ALL SIX! midterm review A, B, C, & D and also midterm review 1 & 2. If you score an 85 or better on all of them extra credit points will be added to you term 2 average.
