GRADING OVERALL GRADE FOR THE YEAR: The course is broken up into 4 marking terms and the Regents Exam. The Regents Exam is weighted as a fifth marking term.
EACH TERM GRADE: Add up all the points you've earned and divide them by the total number of points possible. Your term averages are a straight forward percentage. Nothing is weighted. If a test has ten questions it is worth ten points, if a test has twenty questions it is worth twenty points, if it has thirty questions, it is worth thirty points. Most labs will be scored out of ten to twenty points depending on the length of the write-up. Homework will be checked at random. Homework assignments may be collected to count for pop quiz scores.
